I was abducted by aliens

Hello! I lied - I wasn’t abducted by aliens. Not exactly.

But recently I read a very engaging book called The Road to Roswell, by Connie Willis and I have become obsessed - which is a kind of abduction no? I’ve taken screenshots of a map of the route from Vancouver to Roswell and announced to my friends and family that I was taking a road trip - next year - 27 hours. I even collected links to different campsites and started a new note in my Evernote. It’s that serious!

This week I rented the movie Close Encounters of the Third Kind (you’ve all seen it many times right?) and spent an evening once again at the edge of my seat.

And then I watched live coverage of UFO whistleblower David Grusch testifying at a House hearing regarding UFO sightings and the recovery of biologic material - omg!!!

I admit it. I’m a Sci-fi buff - but I’ve spent the better part of the last 3 years watching and reading post-apocalyptic stories and I think I’m ready to come out of that slump! Time to plan a road trip to the Roswell UFO Festival, to line up all those old Alien movies and watch them again, and time for some good solid cosplay. Alien-eye shaped sunglasses anyone?
